Behavior of saltwater clam:
- They have 2 hard shells that are hinged in the back
- Sometimes they stick a tongue/tube out to feed
- When they are open the have soft inside organs
Behavior of freshwater clam:
- Usually they are closed
- Bury or cover them selves in sand
- When scared they close up and it is very hard to open them up
Characteristics of saltwater clams:
- Large
- Hard and a dirty white color in the outside of the shell
- Usually has barnacles growing on shell
- Has colorful lips and inside
- Attach and grow up on the side of rocks and corral reefs
Behavior of saltwater clam:
- Usually open
